Kevin Keene was playing Nintendo games one day, when he mysteriously found himself sucked into them! Suddenly finding himself and his dog, Duke, in a strange place called Videoland, Kevin looks for help. He allies himself with Princess Lana, Simon Belmont (Castlevania games), Mega Man (Mega Man games), and Kid Icarus (Kid Icarus game). Kevin becomes Captain N (N for Nintendo), with the power to alter reality with a Nintendo controller. He and the others, the N Team, fight the evil villains Mother Brain, King Hippo, the Eggplant Wizard, and Count Dracula, among others.
